Someday No Drugs

Someday no drugs is my hope for my future, but not my honest expectation due to the pain, anxiety & symptoms of Diseases Fibromyalgia and Myasthenia Gravis.

CBDBioCare Herbal Supplement Image for opioid withdrawals

Someday No Drugs Is My Hope

Someday no drugs is my hope, but not the honest expectation of my future! I can not see a way forward that does not contain drugs, or more properly medications for my Bipolar 1 Disorder, Fibromyalgia, and Myasthenia Gravis.

With extreme control of my emotions and nerves, I could withstand the feelings of pain and sadness that come with the Fibromyalgia without pain meds. Although, I am trying to tell you it would be so difficult!

Four Decades Unmedicated

Diagnosed at the age of thirty-nine with Bipolar 1 Disorder, and upon examination discovered I was more than likely born Bipolar. Not medicated until diagnosis, I lived almost four decades as an unmedicated Bipolar 1.

Some Bipolars choose to live unmedicated, saying medications stifle their creative abilities! Artists throughout history have chosen to forgo any type of restriction as a way of putting their talent above their state of mind!

Remember, Van Gogh sliced off his ear in pursuit of his perfect work! And, yes, I’ve read both stories about his ear, have you? Google ‘Van Gogh’s ear’!😊

Medicated State of Mind

Years of Mania and Depression due to being in an unmedicated state, made me take my medications as they are prescribed religiously! For thirty-one years, I took my medications without question.

Hydrocodone – Oxycodone – Fentynal

The same physician placing me on drugs for Bipolar 1 Disorder in April 1990, also prescribed Hydrocodone for Chronic Pain. The Chronic Pain continued without cessation, and more types of pain arose.

Thus, I was taking the opioids for twenty-eight years by prescription by a Pain Specialist. For the last seven years, my schedule was for one pain pill, an Oxycodone every six hours as needed for pain. Yes, I needed a lot, as my pain level was eight, and I never felt a true measure of relief!

I searched for safe alternative pain relief and there was nothing that would provide relief without danger! Finally, I tried Fentynal, and it took care of the degree of pain, but I could not control it. Fentynal is too dangerous unless you are in hospital.

Allergic To Morphine

I am allergic to Morphine that eliminates a great many pain drugs for me.

CBD Anxiety & Pain Relief

CBD Oil enters my life and my Anxiety and Pain Relief was clear. Anxiety from a lifetime of anxious thoughts and feelings were given immediate relief upon taking CBD Oil! The tight knot sitting in the middle of my stomach simply let go for the first time in a long time.

I had never had this happen before without being highly sedated and this time my mind was clear. Just home from the doctor’s office, and I had not taken my Oxycodone. The THC side of Cannabis is psychoactive, but CBD is not! Good to know!

Knowing how well CBD Oil is handling my anxiety, I am ready to pursue pain relief! And I did, and also lowered my intake of Oxycodone until I quit taking them! The next month of mild withdrawals taught me a great deal about myself and opioids.

Opioid Dependent vs. Opioid Addicted

I went through this in July 2018, and it is now January 2019. In October 2018, I discovered through discussions with my Pain Specialist several facts. One of which was that although I had taken the opioids for twenty-eight years, I was opioid dependent vs. opioid addicted!

This was quite an eye-opener! Holly agreed with me that I definitely went through physical opioid withdrawals. Then she asked me to search my memory to see if I could truly find opioid craving? And I could not.

Narcotic Withdrawals – Diazepam (Valium)

Not like the narcotic cravings I felt and thought during Valium (Diazepam) withdrawals! Never so much as I feel when I run out of my e-cig substitutes! Panic! Fear! Got to do something! There! I do find addiction and craving!

Still to this day, and I stopped taking them a year ago next month, but even now I think when I get upset, “I sure could use a Diazepam!” Then I remind myself , “That crutch is over, and I’ll be just fine!” And I am. 😊

image of bottle of Diazepam Tablets from I had narcotic withdrawals
DIAZEPAM

The withdrawals from the narcotic were not any fun at all! I did not have anything extra onboard, and yes, I was on plenty of medications for Bipolar and anxiety. I did have an excellent pain medication in Lyrica for Fibromyalgia.

So going into narcotic withdrawals I was fortified with pain medication. Onboard I did have psyche meds against anxiety and depression, basically a mood control medication. When nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea started I was miserable but I simply treated the symptoms.

While dealing with the gastric symptoms that hit me first, I found I was having even lower blood pressure than usual. I didn’t have it lowered to the point of being dangerous as some do during withdrawals.

Other Symptoms of Narcotic Withdrawals:

  • Raise and Lower Blood Pressure
  • Palpitations
  • Pectoral Muscle Spasm
  • Cardiac Event
  • Stroke
  • Coma
  • Death
  • Some people must truly be advised to go through withdrawals under the care of a physician!
  • If you are in bad health, this means you!

Anxiety – Redicalm – CBD Oil

The second week, when the worst of the physical symptoms were past, I purchased a bottle of Redicalm. It is a combination of five herbal supplements that are excellent calming agents. I knew it was exactly what I needed at the time! And I was thankful for it!

Just a few months later, I was introduced to CBD Oil and then I knew real relief! CBD does for me what nothing else does because it helps with my pain relief, too.

CBD is a natural herbal supplement, so I don’t consider it a drug. Every drug or medication I can take less of or stop, for that I am thankful.

The comfort of a weighted blanket is a 21st Century Design but a 19th Century feeling! The heavy homemade quilts on a bed in a room with crisp, cold air, heated by a fireplace or wood heater is definitely from an era gone before. These quilts are what the weighted blankets bring to mind.

PLUSH WEIGHTED BLANKET

A well built weighted blanket is fashioned in a modern factory with state of the art equipment to bring together the pockets of Premium Glass Beads in fine, durable stitching.

What is not built in the factory but comes with the Blankets is the Feeling of Being Hugged! I can see why a baby sleeps better when it is bundled! The feeling of being wrapped warm and safe is a true need in all of us I think.

These blankets are good for Anxiety, RLS, AUTISM, Insomnia, Bipolar,  and other things I don’t have personal experience with so I can’t speak to much more.

10%  to 15% OF BODY WEIGHT FOR SAFETY

Some weighted blankets are fifteen pounds, twenty pounds, and some are twenty-five pounds for you to purchase according to your weight and bed size. Do be careful to not buy too large for a child so as to overpower them! I have one for children here for seven pounds.

10% OF BODY WEIGHT FOR SAFETY

It is best for the blanket to be no more than 10% to 15% of a person’s body-weight for safety. Body-weight for the person using the weighted blanket is more important than the bed size which is normal with a blanket.

If you or the person you are purchasing the blanket for is a child or a sick weak patient, then you need to think twice about the size or the purchase for these weighted blankets are heavy.

A Special Day-Every Three Weeks

Every three weeks I spend a special day with my husband and my nurse Renee, who is specially trained, while I have my Infusion Therapy, my IVIG.

Myasthenia Gravis Symptoms
The Myasthenia Gravis Symptoms

A Special Day-Every Three Weeks

Today things are a little different for me. I will take it a little easier this morning, and I will make it a point to do only calm things. Travis will help me with my hair when I take my bath this morning, for my caregiver doesn’t come in until this afternoon.

After my bath, we will watch westerns from the 60’s and 70’s, like Wagon Train, Laramie, Dead or Alive, and my favorite, Gunsmoke. Shows that will not upset me. Usually, I watch the news, but I really get into the news and have my opinions about it. So today is a western day with Travis.

Renee, my Nurse

A text comes from my nurse and she will be here at about 4 pm, and that is the usual time. Renee is an extremely good nurse, who is very well-trained in what she is doing. Sometimes Renee talks about her family and her garden, so Travis and I both enjoy calmly visiting with her the four hours it takes for me to have my IVIG.

Renee comes to my house every three weeks to help me have my IVIG. When I first started them it was every four weeks. As I remained weaker, and the Myasthenia Gravis symptoms worsened, the neurologist increased the dosage and the frequency.

NURSE TAKING BLOOD PRESSURE
NURSE TAKING BLOOD PRESSURE

Renee takes my blood pressure and temperature every thirty minutes or so. More often, when we first start one. It is because I don’t have any immunities, and to lessen the force of the Myasthenia Gravis symptoms. This is a form of Muscular Dystrophy.

The IVIG Is Over

The IVIG is over and Renee has left, and everything went well. I am as tired as if I had worked all day, and I didn’t do anything but sit here and calmly watch TV and visit. Renee is tired, but she doesn’t show it, and she has to drive about fifty-five miles until she gets home. She is the closest nurse to me that is trained to do this.

Anyway, the IVIG is over and I will feel stronger in the morning when I wake at about 4 am. Tomorrow I have a doctor’s appointment in the afternoon, but I can work in the morning.

Description of IVIG

Quote from All Geek, “A health care professional to come to his or her home, as the treatment requires several hours of sitting while the IVIG is delivered, and medical personnel must be available to monitor the patient for signs of an allergic reaction or any other complications related to the treatment.”

Weeks After Stopping Oxycodone

My pain specialist said, “You remained in control of the drug, the drug did not control you, thus, you were not addicted you were dependent.”

CBDBioCare.com is a word image of the product I use to help me with my opioid dependency.

Weeks After Stopping Oxycodone

Weeks after stopping Oxycodone, I went to see my pain specialist. Telling her I had stopped the opioid, and that’s when I found out I had been coping with opioid dependency according to her.

Yes, I had gone through physical withdrawals but had not had the mental cravings as I do for my cigarettes. I spoke to her of the anger and mild depression, and she surprised me!

Opioid Dependency vs Opioid Addiction

Holly told me I had to learn the difference between opioid addiction vs opioid dependency. While I had spoken she had reviewed my chart over the years and I had never failed to use my medication correctly.

My pain specialist said, “You remained in control of the drug, the drug did not control you, thus, you were not addicted you were dependent.”

Opiate Holiday!

Holly went on to say, “You have given yourself an opiate holiday! That is a very good thing. Now you need to choose the medication for your pain control.”

The doctor was of the impression I would immediately choose an opioid as my pain medication. For so long a period of time I had needed to be treated with a strong pain medication, she saw no other recourse but to prescribe it again.

I began to tell her I was coping with Ulcerative Colitis and could not have an ansaid or any anti-inflammatory medications for pain. My Gastrologist had told me the week before my gastric system could only tolerate Tylenol.

I ask my Primary M.D. for a pain medication that was not a narcotic or an opioid. He offered me Tramadol or Ultram, the least addictive of the opioids. I asked for something that was not addictive, as I had enough of withdrawals.

Choice Hydrocodone or Oxycodone

The Pain Specialist reminded me with seizure issues I couldn’t take the medication Tramadol as it could provoke seizures. As I felt my options were rapidly rushing away from me, Holly told me my choices were between Hydrocodone 7.5 and Oxycodone.

I almost fell off my chair! I had gone through physical withdrawals to get off of the opioids. No, I didn’t want back on the pain pills! To call in, to make that phone call every month! Again! But wait.

I Did Not Fear The Call

It would not be the same! I did not need the pill every six hours with the CBD! Never did I need the pill like that again! I looked at her and I did not fear the call! The numbing, gut-twisting fear was over, so I didn’t have to fear that call ever again!

Holly was talking about how I was opioid dependent, and not opioid addicted and I would be fine on the medication. I did not fear her power with her pen, and I did not fear the phone call each month.

Each Day Is A Gift
Each Day Is A Gift

I was not listening. My mind was clear and set. It had been clear for a month for the first time in many, many years. For several reasons, pain and illness caused me to need to choose something that was not my first choice.

That didn’t mean it couldn’t be my best choice. With Lyrica as my basic pain medication, and CBD oil doing what it does as it’s best work for me, I know what I want to tell Holly. I choose the prescription for Hydrocodone 7.5.

Never again do I want it to be every six hours and living in an opioid fog, but I do cope with a great deal of chronic pain. There are times the chronic pain reaches a level extra difficult to cope with on regularly scheduled medications. I will use the Hydrocodone 7.5 sparingly for these times.

Flare-Up With Ulcerative Colitis

The weekend before I had been to the ER with breathing difficulty, and hospitalized. Then the ER doctor informed me I was dealing with a flare-up with my Ulcerative Colitis.

My upper colon was inflamed and showed infection the tests showed them. They put me on IV antibiotics and stopped my anti-inflammatory Diclofenac.

No Diclonac In Hospital

Diclonac is an excellent anti-inflammatory, anti-arthritic medication, but gastro doctors don’t like it for your stomach. Stopping this anti-inflammatory lessens my level of established pain control with CBD moderating for me.

In the ER he can give you strong pain medication if you are truly ill! A flare-up of Ulcerative Colitis causes a great deal of pain! It is a chronic condition for me with acute flare-ups, and this has been so for the last seven years.

CBD Oil for Anxiety and Pain Control

I have found nothing better than CBD Oil for Anxiety and Pain Control. Read the little Anxiety Grounding tool above for it can help you the next time you have an anxious episode. It has helped me for it tells us good ideas.

CBD Oil is something I have added to my life and it serves me well. I have found it extremely relieving when I was at my worst where anxiety was concerned. My severe anxiety had worsened due to long-term opioid use.

Physically Withdrew

During the time I physically withdrew from my opioid dependency, CBD oil controlled my anxiety! The CBD began showing me how it worked with my other medications. To me, it seemed they were stronger and lasted longer.

https://copingwithanxieties

CBD Oil

To me, it seemed CBD Oil worked well with my other medications and herbal supplements. I found it interacted in such a way as grapefruit usually does and strengthened my pain medication.

The anti-inflammatory properties of the herbal remedy CBD is so effective for me with my prescribed anti-inflammatory for Diclofenac’s effect seems to be strengthened.

Contact Chosen Medical Provider

Here is where I need to tell you I am not a medical professional. You should contact your chosen medical provider before starting or stopping any medication or supplement.

What I tell you here is my own story and my system is of course, different from yours. Each of us can tolerate and do differently.

Pleased to learn I have been opioid dependent and not opioid addicted, I began to live my life with a new found hope for the future. Overcoming the dependency to me was a physical battle, well fought, and done!

So, I was taking Oxycodone every six hours for so many years. Then being clean of the opioid for three months I gave myself an opiate holiday! Now I have a prescription for two Hydrocodone a day. And this is sufficient for my pain for I only take it when the pain is most fierce.

PAIN IS A LONG ROAD I KNOW
Image of flat, paved, long road stretching behind representing opioid dependency.
PAIN IS A LONG ROAD I KNOW

Something I need to tell you is that one program I found about seven months ago is extremely helpful in relieving anxiety! I am doing so well with it I can say for sure it is great, has helped me tremendously, and I want to share it with you!

The program is Barry Joe McDonaugh’s world studied PanicAway!

I have added some Articles on this Website by Barry Joe McDonaugh creator of PanicAway! He has a great deal of insight and can help you with your Anxiety and Panic Attacks!

One of Barry’s Articles is ‘Causes of Panic Attacks’.

Here is where I tell you again, I am not a medical professional and do not diagnose, treat, or prescribe medications. My system is different from yours and you may not react to medications the same way I do. Anything I write is for informational purposes only.

Baby Boomers Going Through Opioid Withdrawals

How many Baby Boomers are going through opioid withdrawals now? To know this, you would have to know how many Baby Boomers were taking opioids for medication or a high?

 [cmtoc_table_of_contents]

Baby Boomers and Opioid Withdrawals

How many Baby Boomers are going through opioid withdrawals now? To know this, you would have to know how many Baby Boomers were taking opioids for medication or a high?

I wonder how many of us started on medication for an injury, or illness, and became quickly addicted?

One point to think about is that Baby Boomers make a majority in the population. So are we a majority of the opioid crisis?

1957 Chevrolet Dream Car
1957 Chevrolet Dream Car – Note: I thought Baby Boomers might want to remember this car!

I was taking prescription opioid Hydrocodone 7.5, Vicodin twenty-eight years ago.

As late as 1990, they instructed physicians that pain pills of this strength and type were non-addictive!

Addiction Treatment For Opioids

STAT Daily Recap (An online newsletter I read every day) wrote that Richard Sackler, of the Sackler family that invented Oxycontin, had been granted a patent for addiction treatment for opioids.

The patent, issued earlier this year, January 2018, concerns a new formulation of buprenorphine, one of the medications shown to help people with opioid addiction.

QUOTE Reporter Andrew Joseph:  September 7, 2018 “Fatal overdoses from prescription painkillers quadrupled from 1999 to 2013, when they killed more than 16,000 people in the United States.

The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has labeled the spike a “public health epidemic.”

Congress and state governments are scrambling to fund new prevention and treatment programs as the opioid scourge spreads from drugs like OxyContin to heroin and fentanyl.” END QUOTE.

If Purdue Pharma knew this in 2013, why did they lie to us?

Someone I respect was pleased to hear there was new help for opioid addiction from this source. My friend has a great deal of forgiveness in him for this family.

All I have to say is they should surely know their product and how to counteract it, after all, they own it.

Physician's Power Pen
image of prescription pad and pen

Never realizing I was addicted to Oxycodone until the time came to put the opioid aside. It was an eye-opener to me.  They prescribed Hydrocodone 7.5mg. for twenty-four years, then 10mg. for two more years, then Oxycodone for 10mg. for two years.

Being never without a prescription for the drug, but I was constantly terrified the doctor wouldn’t sign or call in the script.

Addicted To Opioids

So every month I had to call the nurses’ line and leave a message for receiving my pain pills, and every month I held my breath and threw up for two days before I called.

Taking the narcotic Valium and the opioid, I still ended up with a stomach ulcer before I was forty and stomach surgery in my fifties.

For several years I had wanted to come off the narcotic and opioid, Diazepam and Oxycodone, but I was dependent on them for anxiety and pain relief and help.

I was a prescribed user of them both for twenty-eight years. Hard to believe, isn’t it?

Off the Narcotic Valium

In February 2018 I got sick and tired of begging for Diazepam (Valium). By lessening the dosage slowly over time I took myself off of it.

To help with my anxiety, I took the herbal supplement Redicalm. Being able to purchase Redicalm without a prescription was to me a gift.

I further strengthened my anxiety fighting herbal supplements by using Holy Basil Root which is a cortisol strengthener.

It is now September 2018; I am narcotic free, and I have been fortunate to stay clean of any Diazepam (Valium).

CBD Oil and Anxiety

As the anxiety continued to be a problem, I was still looking for some stronger relief. A friend showed me to CBD Oil I began to learn about it.

Finally, I got to try some, and then I was so pleased to purchase some CBD Oil of my own.

In quiet was so thrilled to use my CBD Oil and receive true relief from anxiety.

That was on July 2, 2018, and I received more than anxiety relief. It was soon apparent that I was on the way to some pain relief! I am taking Lyrica for nerve pain from the Fibromyalgia and Myasthenia Gravis.

I thought I needed the opioid Oxycodone for pain relief, too, but I don’t.

And then I realized with the CBD Oil I was receiving enough pain relief to come off the Oxycodone. I started to plan my opioid withdrawals.

I talked to friends who had gone through withdrawals, remembered the narcotic withdrawals, and searched for withdrawal symptoms.

Endocannabidiol System and CBD Can Help

Image of bottle of CBD BioCare oil

CBD OIL Anxiety and Pain Relief

Symptoms Long-Term Opioid Use

I found out severe anxiety, and severe diarrhea are symptoms of long-term opioid use. So, I was sure, the twenty-eight years of opioids and I have severe anxiety and diarrhea, unto having Colitis.

And the Ulcerative Colitis I was being treated for may be opiate caused severe diarrhea. There go three more strong medications I will not have to take anymore!

Baby Boomers Coming Off Opioids?

After checking with my friends and neighbors I knew one thing was clear. We Baby Boomers are as split as we were during the Viet Namese War and Equality Marches of the 1900’s.

Some of us became addicted to narcotics or opioids or both. Yes, we have been of the majority of the population both in numbers and in pain pill use.

I learned it wasn’t always an opioid but sometimes an anti-inflammatory or narcotic.

We are a varied group. In that for some the ideal was to live without any drugs of any kind.

Then again, many took each and every drug and medication that was offered through the years. So that addiction waited to ensnare the unwary.

I know Baby Boomers who have remained highly medicated all their lives. They, have reached their seventies without addiction.

Some began with drugs in their twenties and continued with various types of medication all of their adult lives. Surprisingly. some    Baby Boomers have escaped addiction.

Baby Boomers Are Going Through Opioid Withdrawals

Sadly, this is the fate for some Baby Boomers, but for the majority, it is opioid, narcotic or alcohol addiction. For except for the ones of us that lived drug-free, we are a drug using generation.

The Baby Boomers put their talents into inventing and developing drugs and medications. At the same time we were delving into the drug scene as we came of age.

Now some Baby Boomers are coming off opioids and having opioid withdrawals. Some Baby Boomers are coming off narcotics and having narcotic withdrawals. They are about the same, but differ in intensity.

Opioid Withdrawal Symptoms

Some Opioid withdrawal symptoms are listed below:

  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Hot and Cold Chills
  • Fever
  • Irregular Heartbeat
  • Fluctuating Blood Pressure
  • Cardiac Event
  • Coma
  • Death

Five weeks ago I went through a mild case of opioid withdrawals. Mine was mild because of CBD Oil being part of my onboard arsenal of help to go through withdrawals.

I broke my Oxycodone 10mg in half each dosage for two weeks. Then I cut the dosage further, then stopped it by the third week in July 2018. Withdrawals didn’t begin in earnest until I was taking just one-half Oxycodone a day.

So I used Four Drops of the 1000mg. CBD Oil every six hours during the worst of the opioid withdrawals. CBD Oil helped me have a time I could tolerate.

I would not want to go through it again. Although it was not as bad as I was warned, and I thank goodness for the CBD!

Emotional Withdrawals/ Side-Effects?

Emotional Withdrawals/Side-Effects/Myasthenia Gravis

Since I don’t know if I am dealing with Emotional Withdrawals, Side-Effects, or if it is Myasthenia Gravis, I will take them one by one.

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF MG

I must admit I’m also haunted by the teaching that you stop maturing emotionally when you become addicted. I just don’t know!

While going through opioid withdrawals I was at the stage where I was breaking my Oxycodone in half at each dosage every 6 hours and taking 4 drops of 1000mg. CBD Oil every 6 hours, when I developed unreasonable, constant anger.

I decided it was a side-effect of the CBD on the Risperidone and stopped the Risperidone.

I had to choose between the Risperidone and the CBD and the CBD was handling my severe anxiety and intense pain so that I could stay off the Diazepam (Valium), and come off the Oxycodone.

Later, I found I needed some Risperidone, so I took 2mg. instead of 4mg. Thus, I found cutting my Risperidone dosage in half was better with the CBD oil and Lyrica.

Librax benzo

After having gone through the physical symptoms of opioid withdrawals, I am in the midst of some anger that is hard to cope with.

The quick flash of temper, repetitive thoughts, and restlessness that is unusual for me I truly believe are side-effects of the meds interacting with each other.

A physician who is learned in pharmacology advised me the Librax I was taking had:
Quote: “Librax contains chlordiazepoxide (benzodiazepine group medicine) which is likely interacted with Lyrica and caused side effects like difficulty concentrating, thoughts and movements.” End Quote., Dr. Malik.

CBD – Lyrica – Librax

Realizing CBD was boosting the therapeutic effect of the Lyrica and Librax, causing the Librax to act with side-effects, I stopped the Librax. Most of the unwanted side-effects began cessation after about four days, and I was pleased.

The chlordiazepoxide benzo, I didn’t know that is what I had been taking, and I stopped it when I found out. The Librax had not achieved the symptomatic relief for which it was intended anyway.

Thus, the initial side-effects of the Librax on the Lyrica and the CBD on all my medications was learned. CBD has a cumulative effect on medication, causing substances to accumulate in the liver instead of routinely pass as they should.

HEALTH BENEFITS OF CBD

Bipolar  –  Emotional Maturity

Bipolar 1 and Emotional Maturity, or Immaturity, can feel the same for me from the position of the patient! Anger management expectation for a thirty-nine-year-old and a sixty-seven year old can be entirely different.

At the time an agitated Depression State that is borderline Mania can feel very much like anger.

Here is a good place to tell you Bipolar 1 that make bad decisions during the cold anger of agitated Depression to never be convinced you are Borderline. There is nothing wrong with being Borderline if that is what you are.

Although if you need Bipolar medication you need to stay diagnosed by a qualified medical professional as Bipolar.

MG Difficulty Talking or Vocal Cord Surgery

I have to make a conscious decision to talk plainly to be understood by my husband, partly because of my voice and partly his hearing. I don’t know if it is the difficulty in speaking due to the Myasthenia Gravis symptoms such as facial paralysis, muscle weakness, and hoarse voice.

I also have difficulty making myself heard and understood because I had vocal cord surgery a few years ago; polyps removed from my vocal cords, causing damage.

Following surgery for several weeks or months, it seems like, I had to go to Speech Therapy. Vowel sounds softly spoken after weeks of saying nothing. Then harsher consonants, rich, throaty sounds that hurt your throat if spoken with too much force of air!

Myasthenia Gravis Diagnosis

I did not do all of the home exercises with my voice because I was quickly fatigued now. It seemed I didn’t have to do much of anything to become exhausted.

So when I had double-vision and the other symptoms that led my doctors to diagnose the Myasthenia and tell me any exercise was not profitable for me, I was relieved to stop the voice exercises.

That was in 2008, so now in 2018 I have been taking CBD oil, and the pain is so much better.

My anxiety is under control; the pain is being dealt with by the CBD and another non-addictive anti-inflammatory, Diclofenac SOD DR 75mg TAB.

My base pain medication is still Lyrica. It is staying at the reduced dosage of 100mg. three times a day.

August 24th, One Month Of Opioid Withdrawals

white cloud words on dark blue background "believe in yourself", After one month of withdrawals you can!

After First Month of Withdrawals

After your first month of opioid withdrawals, you begin to believe in yourself. You have been thru something very few people have attempted successfully.

Withdrawals are not over, and I know it, but the flu-like symptoms, cold chills, nausea, and diarrhea are over.

The emotions that stopped maturing when I got addicted to the first opioid in 1990, started breaking free on me last week in anger. I had been warned I might have to deal with anger and depression at some point during withdrawals.

I began to have constant anger, a quick temper, and no patience with anyone around me.

Bipolar 1 – Manic-Depressive Episodes

Not only was there and still are false emotions to cope with, but I have Bipolar 1. This causes manic-depressive episodes which includes great fluctuations in mood and emotions.

Having coped with depression all of my life, I am ready to deal with it when it rears its ugly head.

I take medications for the Bipolar 1 and Anxiety that are mood control and anti-psychotic drugs. The Risperidone built up in my body, I think the best way to explain it is the way grapefruit causes a reduction in the release of substances from the kidneys and liver.

The CBD has the same effect on medications for me as a grapefruit and its juice.

I had to take less Risperidone to lessen the anger for it was a side-effect of the CBD and the Risperidone being contraindicated for it was building up in me and reacting due to the unmeasured anti-psychotic effect of the CBD.

A couple of weeks battling intense anger due to the medication confusion wore me out almost thoroughly.

A person with MG is active and the muscles where the activity occurred can become temporarily paralyzed.
Myasthenia Gravis and Activity

Myasthenia Gravis and Life

No matter what else one is doing, if you have Myasthenia Gravis, you will not be allowed to forget that fact. If you do, you will surely be reminded when you get up and try to go to the bathroom or kitchen!

I can’t use large muscles very much; like walking, standing, or sitting straight up and riding in a vehicle.

Pretty much being anywhere besides my favorite recliner or bed just does not work for me. With the weakened muscles from the MG, I get so very tired going just one room away from my chair.

Although I don’t know when it started, I was diagnosed in 2008 when I developed double-vision. It has been a fast-moving ten years, I guess I was partly in a drug fog.

Fibromyalgia Fog and Drug Fog

If you have Fibromyalgia, then you have Fibro Fog where you have periods of time where, (and it is different with everyone), you are confused, can’t remember things, your thoughts are cloudy, and I guess that’s why they call it a  Fibro Fog.

My doctor told me in 2002 that he had watched me for twelve years and I had Fibromyalgia, so by now; I have severe Fibromyalgia and some nerve and neuropathy pain.

LYRICA (PREGABALIN)

Lyrica, Fibromyalgia, and Nerve Pain

I found Lyrica is an awesome medication for nerve pain for Fibromyalgia! I ran out of it once. I thought I couldn’t afford to get it refilled. So I went for sixteen days without it. When it got all the way out of my system, I ached all over, deep down, in my joints, and in my bones themselves!

My muscles jerked and hurt, I couldn’t sleep, so I lay there, and just gritted my teeth until I wept.

And that is while I was taking Oxycodone every 6 hours, so I genuinely don’t want to have to give up on Lyrica as my main pain medication. But, I might have to if it is causing me such harmful side effects!

I have reason to believe Lyrica is not reacting well to the CBD oil in my Endo-Cannabinoid System.

ENDO-CANNABINOID SYSTEM PARTIAL STUDY

Endo-Cannabinoid System and CBD

The CBD is causing such amazing changes for me day by day that I can’t give it up! I need to find medications that will work well with it, or I don’t need them.

For one thing, CBD has taken me through thirty-one days of opioid withdrawals,  from July 24th til now, August 25, 2018.

I found one of my Ulcerative Colitis medications was a benzo. The Librax I was taking as a medication for gastric problems was a Fall Hazard, and my insurance wouldn’t pay for it. I had to get it on a discount card, which I was very thankful for, believe me!

It reacted against my Lyrica, and it was the Librax that had to go and not the Lyrica! Thank God.

Lyrica is an anti-inflammatory which goes a long way with arthritis and Fibromyalgia nerve pain and neuropathy. CBD is an anti-inflammatory that acts well with the endocannabinoid system in the human and animal body.

If you have problems such as IBS or Colitis as I do, CBD serves well in the gastric system.

Opioid Withdrawals Over? Sixth Day

Today is the sixth day of full withdrawals and I am wondering, are opioid withdrawals over? Yesterday was a better day than the day before.

Are Opioids Withdrawals Over? Sixth Day

Today is the Sixth Day of Full Withdrawals and I am wondering are opioid withdrawals over? Yesterday was a better day than the day before, and I felt like writing and thinking. The amazing thing is sleeping all night for the first time in many years, in fact, I don’t remember when?

I did not waken in terrible pain, and thank God that has not happened since I started taking the CBD oil! So, I am going to stay thrilled with CBD! There are no cravings for the opioid Oxycodone, and the physical symptoms of my body throwing off the drug are mild and controllable.

I have helped my body and CBD oil control the symptoms with what works for me under stressful conditions. I considered the flu-like symptoms though they were moderate like they were the real flu and took over the counter flu, fever, and diarrhea medications. The ones that I usually took with my prescribed medications.

Opioid given by prescription for 28 years.

Craving the Opioid or the Narcotic

Lest you think I don’t know what craving is or am lying to you about not craving the opioid or narcotic, I was on them both for twenty-eight years and depended on them like life’s breath! I became so completely done with what I needed so seriously depending on a physician’s decision to say “yes” or “no” with his pen that I had enough!

February 25, 2018, was the last day I took Diazepam (Valium), forever, God willing! I don’t ever want to go back on them, they are so seductive and quickly addictive. That has been five months! I’m here to tell you those first two months were long months.

Mentally, I still have thought flashes when I think “Now, would be a good time for a Diazepam!” But I quickly shove it aside with a “You are doing just fine, hang in there!” and I do okay!

With my pain and anxiety like it is or less, I am so completely thankful for what CBD has done for me already, and what it is doing!

Smoking is addicting!
Smoking Is Addicting!

Addicted and Craving Nicotone

I want to write and I can’t because I have to get up and go to the computer to put my e-cigarette batteries on to charge. That is what a craving does! It interferes in all aspects of your life! I know because I have been smoking cigarettes since the age of thirteen. Since I didn’t quit until the age of sixty-three, that is a lot of years of smoking!

In the past, I have done all kinds of horrible things with my cigarettes! I have accidentally burnt my children with them! Do you know what that will do to a child and mother? Always, I made sure I had cigarette money, before medicine! Thank God, I never had to choose where my children’s food was concerned!

Vaporing has nicotine and it is addictive.
Vaporing Has Nicotine!

Smoking – Vaporing e-Cigarettes?

So now for four years, I have been smoking e-cigs (and my Granddaughter says vaporing), and it is not as satisfying as the real thing, but they have enough nicotine. I do not burn anything and there are no ashes or second-hand smoke. All to the good!

Once my best friend’s daughter had to go to a rehab facility for helping her come off of some drugs and they made cigarettes one of her drugs. She was able in a month’s stay to take care of all of her drugs except the cigarettes.

Paula was told cigarettes were on the same addictive level as heroin and as hard to kick! I believe every bit of that! I have walked miles to have a cigarette, and in my fifty-one years of smoking, did many things I am not too proud to tell.

Anxiety In A Jar
Opioid Addiction Anxiety or SAD

For years I could have been having Opioid Addiction Anxiety or Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD), and, I don’t know how much of which! Searching for opioid withdrawal symptoms I found some symptoms for long-term opioid use. The first one on the list was severe anxiety, and the second was diarrhea!

Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) Diagnosed Age 4

When I began medication at the age of thirty-nine, my anxiety was severe. Social Anxiety Disorder from the age of four was diagnosed. I have clear of recollections of “Show & Tell” in Nursery School, wherein I could not participate, and stand in front of all of those other children and show my toy. I had my first anxiety attack and was physically sick, so my teacher took me outside.

If your child gives you reason to think they are coping with some form of anxiety problem, by all means, help them. Start with your pediatrician, or if you don’t use one, your family doctor. Anxiety can begin in the cradle for the child can be born with Social Anxiety Disorder.

Children Also Have Anxiety.
Children Also Have Anxiety

Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD)

Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) is a form of Autism in most cases and the child is born with SAD as they are born Autistic. So much work is being done today with Autistic patients including SAD patients, physicians are learning new characteristics every day.

I and my three sisters have Social Anxiety Disorder, and now, my granddaughter was born autistic. Three of us had childhoods where we plainly showed forth signs of SAD for diagnosis. Of course, we were not diagnosed in the 1950’s and 1960’s.

Showing seeking love, unable to accept love easily.
Seeking Love, Unable To Accept Love Easily

Severe Social Anxiety Disorder

I can only clearly write of my own experience so that is what I shall do. There is a clear striving for love with a lack of ability to accept affection and believe they are loved! You will see a seeking of acceptance and approval without the ability to accept praise or be the center of attention graciously. They are embarrassed.

For a SAD baby a little noise can become too much input to handle. They can’t process it and will shut down and sleep through it, then finding that impossible, will cry and cry their way through it. Stop the input. Start it back, one thing at a time.

Instrumental music with few instruments is a good choice for nap time. Mother, Father, or another person well-known to the child, softly touching their back is a good thing. Try building clean, soft patterns to which the child will become accustomed.

Opioid emotional withdrawals can take many forms.
Opioid Emotional Withdrawals

Afternoon Seventh Day Full Withdrawals

This post has a lot of stuff in it! I started it on the morning of the Sixth Day of Full Withdrawals from Oxycodone. I am finishing it in the afternoon of the Seventh Day of Full Withdrawals and my internet has been down for two days.

Having had no one to talk to about withdrawals, medications, and duration of symptoms, I feel very alone. I am not alone although I am wishing for people informed about withdrawals to talk to now. If my internet comes back up I can contact my internet doctor. It’s time to talk to people about how the CBD oil is helping me and how it helped them.

CBD Pain Rub with Emu Oil is good to help me with my pain.
CBD PAIN RUB

Lyrica and CBD Oil

Mestinon is my medication for Myasthenia Gravis, and I take Lyrica for the severe Fibromyalgia nerve pain and neuropathy. Now Lyrica and CBD oil are my basic medications for pain, because the only time I was out of them, I suffered terribly.

CBD oil has done so many good things for me, out of all of them keeping the intense pain out of my first thoughts of the morning is why CBD is the most treasured! Second, is that I can see clearly instead of double-vision which made it difficult to read and write.

June is Myasthenia Gravis Awareness Month and I have this disease.
Myasthenia Gravis

Myasthenia Gravis and Opioid Withdrawals

There is a muscle connecting your eyes that allows them to synchronize and focus for you. With Myasthenia Gravis this muscle loosens and you lose focus and see double.

Some may have put the clearing of vision first, but they are not aware of the degree of pain I dealt with on a daily basis. If I overslept a six-hour medication time I woke in bone-searing pain that had me in tears. CBD oil drops are making life without pain and opioids possible!

Welcome to the Gutenberg Editor

The goal of this new Gutenberg Editor is to make adding rich content to Wordpress simple and enjoyable.

Gutenberg Editor

Of Mountains & Printing Presses

The goal of this new Gutenberg Editor is to make adding rich content to WordPress simple and enjoyable. This whole post is composed of pieces of content—somewhat similar to LEGO bricks—that you can move around and interact with. Move your cursor around and you’ll notice the different blocks light up with outlines and arrows. Press the arrows to reposition blocks quickly, without fearing about losing things in the process of copying and pasting.

What you are reading now is a text block, the most basic block of all. The text block has its own controls to be moved freely around the post…

… like this one, which is right aligned.

Headings are separate blocks as well, which helps with the outline and organization of your content.

A Picture is worth a Thousand Words

Handling images and media with the utmost care is a primary focus of the new editor. Hopefully, you’ll find aspects of adding captions or going full-width with your pictures much easier and robust than before.

Beautiful landscape
If your theme supports it, you’ll see the “wide” button on the image toolbar. Give it a try.

Try selecting and removing or editing the caption, now you don’t have to be careful about selecting the image or other text by mistake and ruining the presentation.

The Inserter Tool

Imagine everything that WordPress can do is available to you quickly and in the same place on the interface. No need to figure out HTML tags, classes, or remember complicated shortcode syntax. That’s the spirit behind the inserter—the (+) button you’ll see around the editor—which allows you to browse all available content blocks and add them into your post. Plugins and themes are able to register their own, opening up all sort of possibilities for rich editing and publishing.

Go give it a try, you may discover things WordPress can already add into your posts that you didn’t know about. Here’s a short list of what you can currently find there:

  • Text & Headings
  • Images & Videos
  • Galleries
  • Embeds, like YouTube, Tweets, or other WordPress posts.
  • Layout blocks, like Buttons, Hero Images, Separators, etc.
  • And Lists like this one of course 🙂

Visual Editing

A huge benefit of blocks is that you can edit them in place and manipulate your content directly. Instead of having fields for editing things like the source of a quote, or the text of a button, you can directly change the content. Try editing the following quote:

The editor will endeavour to create a new page and post building experience that makes writing rich posts effortless, and has “blocks” to make it easy what today might take shortcodes, custom HTML, or “mystery meat” embed discovery.

Matt Mullenweg, 2017

The information corresponding to the source of the quote is a separate text field, similar to captions under images, so the structure of the quote is protected even if you select, modify, or remove the source. It’s always easy to add it back.

Blocks can be anything you need. For instance, you may want to add a subdued quote as part of the composition of your text, or you may prefer to display a giant stylized one. All of these options are available in the inserter.

You can change the amount of columns in your galleries by dragging a slider in the block inspector in the sidebar.

Media Rich

If you combine the new wide and full-wide alignments with galleries, you can create a very media rich layout, very quickly:

Accessibility is important don't forget image alt attribute

Sure, the full-wide image can be pretty big. But sometimes the image is worth it.

The above is a gallery with just two images. It’s an easier way to create visually appealing layouts, without having to deal with floats. You can also easily convert the gallery back to individual images again, by using the block switcher.

Any block can opt into these alignments. The embed block has them also, and is responsive out of the box:

You can build any block you like, static or dynamic, decorative or plain. Here’s a pullquote block:

Oxycodone And Risperidone Withdrawals

 Mestinon For Myasthenia Gravis

Oxycodone and Risperidone Withdrawals

Oxycodone and Risperidone withdrawals are involved and not fun. The symptoms of long-term addiction and withdrawals are similar and in some areas, they overlap. I was on opioids and Risperidone for 28 years, so I know I am addicted to the opioid. I know it is putting me in withdrawals from Risperidone because of the length of time of use.

The CBD serving size I am taking each day is 5 drops twice daily of the 1000mg. So far it is handling my anxiety and with the Lyrica and Mestinon, it taking care of my pain also. Mestinon is much more than a pain medication for it is my primary medication for Myasthenia Gravis. I need for it to be taken as ordered for I must protect the needs of my body where the MG is concerned.

Risperidone (Resperdal)

Further Withdrawal Symptoms For Risperidone

A bad temper is not usual for me, as I usually don’t feel well, and don’t have the extra patience for nonsense. Being Bipolar 1, it has been a long time ago since I gave myself permission to have a disagreeable temper! About seven days ago I started being angry, and I didn’t know why? But I was ready to get angry about anything, from a nuisance phone call to an imagined slight.

A bad temper takes a lot of energy that a Myasthenia Gravis patient doesn’t have. I check further on the drug interactions with my medications and found there was a contraindication for Seroquel on Marijuana due to its antipsychotic properties. I realized there was my problem with Risperidone, and when it came time to take it that day at 6 pm, I chose CBD and said, no more Risperidone.

CBD BioCare Oil

CBD Will Meet My Antipsychotic Needs

Tonight is the 5th night of no more Risperidone, and close to the end of the 3rd week on the CBD. It is the second-week ending tomorrow night of coming off the opioid Oxycodone. I am taking 1/2 pain pill 6 am and 6 pm with pain controlled better than it was at a whole pill every 6 hours. I am amazed! I am not forgetting the Lyrica and Mestinon, but they were also in place all along.

Benefits of CBD Hemp Oil

I have the flu-like symptoms of upper respiratory infection and gastric problems, cramping, and diarrhea. My anxiety is much better and I am convinced CBD oil is doing its work for me! So far no confusion, delusions, nightmares, or mania. In the next year, I will see if I am in for an episode of mania or if age and CBD will meet my antipsychotic needs.

As I Withdraw From Oxycodone

As I withdraw from Oxycodone, I am staying on Lyrica and CBD as my primary inflammation medications as they are working extremely well. Lyrica has been my inflammation and pain medication for Fibromyalgia for several years so I know I tolerate it well. CBD is new to me but it is in there working even better than I could I have expected.

Mestinon and Meclophenlomate are taking care of the Myasthenia Gravis and my eyes are still symptom-free.

Last Oxycodone Yesterday Morning

Yesterday morning, I took 1/2 Oxycodone as I had been taking for the last two weeks. Last night at 6 pm I didn’t take 1/2 an Oxycodone, it just seemed like it was time to let them go. I prepared myself for a long night, an increase in diarrhea, in nausea, in pain and in general discomfort. Instead, I went to sleep early.

I awoke at 1 am in no more than uncomfortable pain and took my midnight medications, Lyrica and others. I am confined to my bed or recliner by the Myasthenia, but I think it would be much better if I could get up and do something. I would like to clean the house or go outside and work in the yard.

Before Oxycodone Withdrawal

It is not hard for me to remember the bone searing pain I woke up with three weeks ago. It was horrible and it was regular as clockwork. I had to make myself move just enough to take a pain pill, and then lie there for about 45 minutes before I could move and get up and go to the bathroom.

What changed was CBD oil! Taking CBD oil drops I no longer woke up in pain in the extreme. As my pain lessened, I thought there is hope for coming off of the opioid Oxycodone. I had been on an opioid for twenty-eight (28) years, and with the extent of my pain, I saw no way of coming off of it.

More Oxycodone Withdrawal

4:40 am in the morning and my pain level is very much in a comfort zone.

I went to sleep. Here I woke later in the morning with flu-like symptoms and started Blogging on NaturalRemedyCBD.com

Thank you for reading along with me! Please leave me a comment if you wish!

I will be Blogging here while I change the type of pain medication that I use. With the basic pain medication being Lyrica, the one I take for my Fibromyalgia, as it is not an opioid.

Here is where I tell you that any advice implied on this website is only for informational purposes. What I tell you about my health applies only to me. Your body and system are different and you need to see your healthcare provider before starting or stopping any medication.
